King Salmon caught in Old Harbor Alaska – Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge
The Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge team will be at the annual convention of the Safari Club International in Las Vegas from Feb. 3 to Feb. 6, 2016. Come and meet the lodge owner, operator and head guide and learn from the experts about Kodiak Alaska fishing. This Kodiak lodge is one of my favorite fishing lodges in Alaska! It’s remote location and abundance of fish is ideal and the owners and staff always make it a vacation to remember. This is a great opportunity to meet these experts and ask questions and share fishing stories.
Meet Kodiak Sportsman’s Lodge Owner And Head Guide At Safari Club International
Gary Sampson, the Lodge owner and operator, grew up in northern Minnesota and graduated from Boston College. Gary was a member of the 1984 US Olympic Hockey team and played in the NHL for the Washington Capitals. He and his wife Jeanne, our chef, met at a fishing lodge in 1999 and she is an Alaska native. They have been operating fishing lodges for over 20 years. Gary has been an exhibitor at Safari Club International for several years.
Conrad Peterson, the Lodge head guide, was born and raised in Old Harbor. He lives year round in Old Harbor with his family. He grew up fishing these waters and is the perfect person to answer the detailed questions about our fishing. Kodiak is the “go to” fishing destination in Alaska with the highest per day fish limits and a remote experience with no crowds.
